Job Summary:

We're looking for an experiences NHS Contracts Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping and managing our provider partnerships. As our NHS Contracts Manager, you will lead on developing and managing contracts whilst maintaining compliance with NHS standards, reporting requirements and financial regulations. This is a collaborative role where you'll be working closely with clinical, commissioning, finance and digital colleagues.

Keys provides high-quality care, education and health services across the UK, supporting children, young people and adults to achieve positive outcomes. The Keys Health division includes ADHD 360, Autism 360, and Mable, delivering assessment, diagnosis and treatment for neurodiverse children and adults.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, negotiation, and management of service contracts with NHS and non-NHS commissioners.
  • Ensure contracts comply with statutory, regulatory, and NHS policy and process requirements.
  • Develop contract documentation, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), indicative activity plans (IAPs), and service specifications.
  • Monitor contract performance, resolve issues, and implement contract variations when necessary.
  • Analyse contract performance against KPIs, IAPs and SLAs, flagging and addressing underperformance.
  • Provide reports and insights to senior leadership, commissioning, and finance teams.
  • Liaise with Data and Digital colleagues to ensure reporting requirements are met.
  • Coordinate and attend contract review meetings with providers and internal stakeholder
  • Act as the key contact for providers on contractual matters.
  • Collaborate with commissioning, clinical, finance, and legal teams to ensure integrated contract oversight.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with ICBs, Trusts, and independent sector providers.
  • Ensure all contracts adhere to Standing Financial Instructions, procurement law, and NHS standard terms.
  • Support audits and due diligence processes.
  • Keep up to date with NHS England and DHSC guidance on contracting
  • Identify and research new business opportunities via tender portals
  • Support the Bid Team to determine whether opportunities are viable as part of ‘bid/no bid’ decision-making.
  • Support budget holders and finance teams in aligning contract values with financial plans.
  • Monitor contract spend, forecast expenditure and support cost improvement where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in NHS contracting, commissioning, or commercial healthcare roles.
  • Knowledge of NHS standard contracts and procurement regulations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skill.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex policy and contractual frameworks.
  • Understanding of using data and reporting requirement.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and contract monitoring tools.
