Job Summary:

Job Summary:
You should expect a challenging and rewarding role, which supports the Medical Director in meeting the demands of servicing a private and NHS population consistently left underserved by existing national resources. This role blends clinical expertise with management responsibilities, contributing to the maintenance of high medical standards throughout the organisation. The Deputy Medical Director will work closely with the Medical Director to deliver excellent clinical governance and support operational delivery. Only exceptional candidates should apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic responsibilities
• Supporting the Medical Director in ensuring ADHD 360's approach to assessment and treatment for both ADHD and Autism remains compliant with necessary regulatory standards
• Assisting in maintaining medical standards throughout the organisation
• Supporting the Medical Director in CQC compliance activities
• Contributing to the strategic growth for ADHD services with a focus on medical excellence
• Helping to implement clinical governance frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality care across services
Tactical responsibilities
• Assisting in managing clinical teams under the direction of the Medical Director
• Supporting the oversight of medical standards across departments and service delivery points
• Contributing to compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Supporting capacity management activities
• CPD is an expected norm, and the post holder will be expected to attend relevant conferences and disseminate learning across the clinical team
• Participating in the recruitment of new clinical staff, including ADHD Academies
• Serving as the primary point of contact for the ADHD Accredited Academy for practitioners and new joiners
• Ensuring excellence in content and delivery of the ADHD Academies
• Being present at each monthly Clinical Academies
• Supporting the delivery of medical elements of the ADHD 360 academy, a once-a-month or bi-monthly weekend commitment, residential in a Lincolnshire hotel
• Attending monthly Clinical Operations Meetings, normally convened where the business
• Helping to collate information on clinicians' performance and conduct/behaviours
• Developing and maintaining expertise across ADHD treatment
• Participating in audits and reviews of medical practices to ensure high standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational responsibilities • Manage a moderate clinical caseload • Assisting with oversight of complex patients under the direction of the Medical Director • Developing comprehensive knowledge of both treatment pathways, ADHD and Autism • Supporting the delivery of patient-facing webinars on related subjects • Delivering staff training when required • Supporting investigations into complaints and incidents of a medical nature • Helping to ensure standardised medical protocols and procedures are followed • Contributing to the development of clinical pathways and service improvements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications and Experience: • Full Registration with NMC without any conditions or restrictions on licence to practise • Qualified Clinician maintaining professional registration • Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber • Educated to Masters Level or equivalent experience / competence • Knowledge of clinical governance and systems of medical management • Evidence of continued professional development • Understanding of CQC regulations and requirements • Experience in a clinical leadership role (desirable)

  • Competencies: • Experience prescribing in many contexts including lifespan and the prescribing of controlled drugs • Experience working in patient-facing roles at a strategic level, commanding authority and delivering success • Integrity -- the role requires honesty and being ethical • Fairness -- the role requires fairness in the manner in which supervision and development are applied across the clinical team • Dependability -- the role relies on the post holder being reliable, responsible, dependable and fulfilling their obligations • Attention to detail -- the role requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure patient safety and to deliver the 'right first time' • IT competent, especially in MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel and capability to be competent with our bespoke platform Chrysalis • Confidence -- the post holder must demonstrate confidence to the patient/families and also within the team, this should be built on professional competence and a measure of humility • Team player -- the post holder will be a key part of a team that shares goals, culture and an ethos built around delivery for our patient group • Resilience -- the post holder will be expected to be strong, to cope with the demands of providing healthcare to the ADHD patient group, and be capable of investing themselves in this responsibility, on occasions stretching beyond the 9-5 window to ensure our patients feel safe, reassured and involved • Ability to establish and maintain high medical standards across multiple teams and locations
