How To Get Qualified

How to become a qualified ADHD360 clinician

At ADHD360, we’re committed to raising the standard of ADHD care across the UK. That means having the right clinicians, with the right training, empowered to lead real, lasting change. But what does it take to become one? And what makes our process different? Let’s take you inside our journey and show you what it takes to become a qualified ADHD clinician with ADHD360.

How to get Qualified

Some background...

Why we had to do things differently

When ADHD360 was founded, we had one mission in mind: to do better. Better outcomes for patients. Better standards for clinicians. And a better system, built from the ground up by experts who had seen the cracks in the current model.

Our founder, Phil Anderson, had spent years inside NHS ADHD clinics, analysing inefficiencies and shortfalls. What he saw shocked him – inconsistent qualifications, outdated systems, and 35-year-long waiting lists in some areas. It was clear the system was broken and needed fixing.

Raising the standard: ADHD360 Academy

From the beginning, we knew that the standard for clinician training had to be exceptional. We couldn’t rely on outdated thinking or vague definitions. That’s why we built our own training and accreditation pathway, ADHD360 Academy, grounded in research and real-world insight.

Our academy is a fully accredited CPD training provider, offering a structured and certified route to clinical competence in ADHD care. Every clinician who works with us is qualified, assessed, and provided with continuous support and development to ensure the highest standard of care for every patient.

How we accredit our clinicians

We believe in a robust, thorough, and standardised process for accrediting our clinical team.

  • Step 1

    Step 01

    ADHD360 Academy

    Industry-leading training.

The journey begins by joining the ADHD360 Academy, where prospective clinicians enrol on the Advanced ADHD Practitioner Course, designed to build expertise in complex ADHD diagnosis and treatment.

  • Step 2

    Step 02

    Preceptorship

    Turning theory into practice.

Not hearing is not as good as hearing. Hearing is not as good as seeing. Seeing is not as good as knowing. Knowing is not as good as acting. True learning continues until it is put into action.

After graduating from the academy, clinicians enter our preceptorship programme. Here, they shadow experienced leads, conduct supervised assessments, and receive detailed feedback. Each session is documented, debriefed, and tested to ensure active learning and a solid understanding of the clinical process and outcomes.

  • Step 4

    Step 04

    Qualified ADHD360 clinician

    Certified, capable, and continuously improving.

On successful completion of the probatory period, clinicians are formally qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat ADHD360 patients. The Six Categories of Excellence continue to guide ongoing professional development and quality assurance throughout their career with us.

A standard developed by experts

We’re proud to be guided by the leading experts in ADHD care. Our co-founder, Jen Lewis-Neill, helped create the latest national policy for ADHD care, the NICE Guidelines (NG87), and regularly leads NG87 workshops for our team.

For ADHD360, an ‘appropriately qualified healthcare professional’ means:

  • Qualifications MUST be underwritten by an appropriate national institution.
  • The provider of the qualification MUST be suitably qualified to a national standard
  • ‘Healthcare professional’ does not have to mean Consultant Psychiatrist or Paediatrician

NG87 states:

A diagnosis of ADHD should only be made by a specialist psychiatrist, paediatrician or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional with training and expertise in the diagnosis of ADHD.
